Party Programmes POHTIVA

The party agenda database POHTIVA consists of current and past agendas of Finnish political parties, as well as other essential political texts. The database is produced by the Finnish Social Science Data Archive. The database is available only in Finnish.

Programme types in POHTIVA

General programme: the basic document published by the party describing the objectives and ideological basis of the party. General programmes can also be called manifestos, agendas, or just party programmes.

Election programme: a programme published by the party for particular national elections (i.e. parliamentary, European Parliamentary, municipal, and parish elections).

Special programme: a programme published by the party concerning some limited subject or social issue. For instance, programmes on cultural, traffic, equality or environmental issues.

The political party selector Vaalimaatti provided a separate, election-specific online service focusing solely on party programmes related to particular parliamentary or municipal elections. The same party programmes can currently also be found in POHTIVA.
