Election and Party Financing

The responsibility for auditing political party funding and candidates' election financing has mainly been transferred from the Ministry of Justice to the National Audit Office of Finland (NAO).

The National Audit Office receives notifications of election campaign financing from candidates and documents on the use of subsidies from parties and gives information on them on its website (in Finnish and Swedish). The website contains the notifications of election campaign financing from the candidates obliged to submit the notification.

The Finnish Social Science Data Archive archives the combined data of notifications given by the Members of Parliament on their election campaign financing.
