The Election Study Consortium awards the FNES Prize every other year to the best research article in which FNES data have been used in an innovative and versatile way. The prize is 500 euros, to be shared equally among all authors of the article.
In 2026, the winner will be selected by Sami Borg, election researcher and a founding member of the Finnish Election Study Consortium.
We now invite nominations for the 2026 prize.
To be eligible, the research article must:
- Be published within the last two years (1 January 2024–31 March 2026) in a journal with JUFO classification
- Articles accepted for publication by 31 March 2026 but not yet published are also eligible for nomination
- Be written in Finnish, Swedish, or English
- May also use other data in addition to FNES data
- The call is open to everyone, and self-nominations are welcome
Nominations may be submitted until 31 March by emailing a freely formatted nomination and the article to Steering Group member Aino Tiihonen (firstname.lastname@tuni.fi).
