The Finnish National Election Consortium announces new prize

A new prize for innovative use of Finnish National Election Studies (FNES) data was announced at the Finnish Political Science Association’s annual conference in Jyväskylä 11 May 2023. The prize was instituted to commemorate the 20-year jubilee of the consortium.

The FNES-prize will be awarded every two years, starting in 2024, for an article that uses the FNES datasets innovatively, creatively and diversely. Nominations will take place in January through an open call. Nominated articles must be written in Finnish, Swedish or English and published in a JUFO-classified journal during the two past years.

The Finnish National Election Consortium is an open co-operative network of academic researchers interested in election research. The consortium plans the collection of election data during the parliamentary elections and is responsible for Finland’s membership in the relevant international co-operative organizations.
